P7 Pupils Visit Stormont

26th Feb 2018

Our P7 pupils travelled to Parliament Buildings at Stormont to learn about the Northern Ireland Assembly.

We learned lots of things including what an MLA is, what they do, how they are voted in, what a constituency is and all about how discussions work in the Debating Chamber.  Ask us about these things to see what we know!

We also learned about the history of Stormont, the design of the building and when the Northern Ireland Assembly was established.  On top of all the learning, we got the chance to meet two of our local MLAs.

As you can see from the photographs, an excellent time was had by all, especially when getting to undertake our own debates in the chamber!
