P1 have been very busy exploring numbers, creating patterns, measuring and sorting objects. We always strive to make our Numeracy lessons as practical as possible and to link their learning to real life. Right from P1 we encourage the children to development a love for Numeracy and an understanding of mathematical language. Through our use of Numicon we encourage the children to develop a deep rooted understanding of each number. Here are just some of the things we have been up to.
