Our P4 pupils had a fantastic day stepping back in time at the Ulster Folk Museum, Cultra. From exploring traditional thatched cottages to discovering how people lived, worked and played in the past, the children loved it all.

Highlights of the day included:

• Seeing a traditional weaver’s workplace

• Visiting the old schoolhouse and trying out chalk and slates

• Exploring cobbled streets and old shops

• Learning about old fashioned farming and home life

It was a brilliant experience that brought their topic to life and gave everyone an appreciation for the past. Thank you to the museum staff for making the day so memorable.
