As part of our transition programme three PSNI officers from the Local Community Policing Team visited each of our Primary 7 classes to talk to our pupils about staying safe online. Pupils learnt about the risks involved in using the internet and social media irresponsibly and the officers advised them how to keep themselves safe online.
This is a particularly important for our Primary 7 pupils who are preparing to move into Post-Primary school and who are more likely to encounter some of the dangers posed by social media.
The day ended badly for one of our pupil who was arrested and put in handcuffs!
We would like to thank the PSNI officers for their time and for leading such fun sessions.
