We were delighted to welcome back some past pupils today; currently in Year 9 and representative of three different local post primary schools.

They shared their story with our P6/7 and P4/5 Bookworms Extended Schools groups of how they proposed and ran their own Book Club in Room 1 when they were in Primary 7.

They answered lots of excellent questions about their club, and favourite reads, offering advice on finding books that you love.

More than that though, they reminisced about the happy times they had shared encouraging and inspiring one other with an affinity for Greek mythology and how each of them had become at least a ‘one million word reader’ in our Accelerated Reader Scheme.

It was so lovely to see how they have grown physically, and to hear how they are blossoming in their new post primary environments, whilst still sustaining the friendship forged while in BPS.
