P2 have been busy learning about the Emergency Services. They recently had a visit from The Teddy Bear Hospital, an outreach programme organised by QUB Medical students. They learnt how to stay healthy, about different parts of their body and what happens when you visit the doctor.
They also got to explore some of the tools a doctor uses, while treating their teddies with bandages, medicine, breathing apparatus and stethoscopes.
Bringing the curriculum alive is an important part of how we learn. Learning through play, exploration and real life experiences are the building blocks of Foundation Stage. Thank you to our visitors for bringing the curriculum alive today!
